Privacy policy

Last updated Oct 22, 2026. Draft · pending legal review

California Trusted Pros ("I," "me") is a directory of CSLB-licensed contractors run by Carlos Morones. This policy explains what personal information I collect, why, and what you can do about it. It also serves as my notice at collection under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA.

What I collect

Analytics: I use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics 4, both provided by Google. Analytics uses cookies such as _ga to record the pages you view, your approximate location (worked out from your IP address), your device and browser, and the page that sent you here. I use it to understand which pages actually help homeowners find and check a contractor. I don't use advertising pixels or ad trackers, and I don't sell analytics data. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, analytics won't run for you on this site. You can also block Google Analytics on every site with Google's opt-out browser add-on. Fonts are served from this site, and I don't load any other third-party scripts.

Contractor information

Contractor listings come from the Contractors State License Board's public License Master file: business name, license number and classes, city, county, ZIP, phone, expiration, bond and workers' comp details. This is publicly available government information. I don't publish street addresses. If you're a licensee and something is wrong, the fix has to happen at CSLB. It will show here after the next refresh.

Why I use it

Who processes it

I use service providers that process data on my behalf: Vercel (website hosting) and Supabase (the database that stores form submissions). I don't sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and I haven't done so in the past 12 months.

How long I keep it

Quote requests, claims and waitlist entries: up to 24 months after our last contact, or sooner if you ask me to delete them. Privacy requests: 24 months, as a record of how I handled them.

Your California rights

You can ask me to tell you what personal information I have about you, to delete it, or to correct it. You can opt out of any sale or sharing and limit use of sensitive information. I won't treat you differently for using these rights. You can use an authorized agent. I honor Global Privacy Control as an opt-out signal. To make a request, use the Do Not Sell or Share / privacy request form. I may need to verify your identity for requests to know, delete or correct.

Calls and texts

I'll call or text you about a quote request only if you ticked the optional consent box, and you can reply STOP at any time. Consent isn't required to use the site.

Children

This site is meant for adults, and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, I'll update the date above. If I ever start selling or sharing personal information, I'll update this policy first and ask for consent where the law requires it.
